KE0362; TECHNOLOGY IN CHILD AND YOUTH PROGRAMS
Using Technology in Program Delivery
Traditional classroom instructions fall short of providing an immediate learning environment, faster evaluations, and more engagement. In contrast, at Ke0362, digital learning tools and technology has filled this void. Some of the efficiencies such technologies provide are simply unrivalled by traditional learning methodologies.

To enhance program delivery to our children and youth during program days, Ke362 employs various modern tools in delivering lessons. For instance, the introduction of new technology-assisted learning tools such as tablets devices, simulations and dynamic visualizations (the utilization of projectors) has made teaching and engaging our participants fascinating and entertaining. This works well in all areas of development. It is also a robust mechanism for integrating a modern learning experience for our participants. This has positively impacted program attendance. Participants are eager to come to the project.

This has made learning more appealing to our participants although it was a formidable technique to manage initially since traditional instructors are hesitant to include contemporary technology in lesson delivery, viewing them as a distraction rather than an intelligent learning aid. However, with continuous training, our approach is showing positive signs of fully incorporating technologies in program delivery.
Facilitating youths with Digital Devices and Access to Internet
Digital technologies have emerged as an essential tool to achieve equitable and quality education for our youths. Currently, we have 11 youths who are in colleges located in Kakamega County studying various disciplines including ICT, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Building and Construction and Health. Nowadays, most colleges deliver their assignments and research through online portals.
For this reason, we created a novel solution to expand access to education for our youths who cannot access adequate educational facilities. We have a functional, well equipped resource center, these participants have access to internet and digital devices in form tablets and modern computers at.
